Jacket type heat exchanger is a kind of inter wall heat exchanger. It is made of jacket installed on the outer wall of the vessel and has simple structure; However, the heating surface is limited by the wall of the vessel, and the heat transfer coefficient is not high. In order to improve the heat transfer coefficient and make the liquid in the kettle heated evenly, the agitator can be installed in the kettle. When the jacket is filled with cooling water or heating agent without phase change, the spiral baffle or other measures to increase turbulence can be set in the jacket to improve the heat transfer coefficient on one side of the jacket. In order to supplement the lack of heat transfer surface, the snake tube can also be installed inside the kettle. Jacket heat exchanger is widely used for heating and cooling of reaction process. Jacketed heat exchanger is mainly used in the reactor. It is installed outside the reactor to form a closed interlayer, which makes the fluid enter into the interlayer and conduct heat exchange with the materials in the reactor through the wall. The disadvantages of the jacket heat exchanger are that the heat transfer surface of the jacket is not large, the jacket gap is narrow, the fluid flow velocity is small, and the heat transfer coefficient is not high. Jacketed heat exchanger is mainly used to control the reaction temperature and pressure in the reactor by steam heating or cold water cooling. Because the inside of the jacket can not be cleaned, it is not suitable for the medium with fouling and dirt to enter the jacket.
