Because the heat transfer element of this kind of device uses stainless steel sheet, its sealing rigidity is relatively poor, and the sealing periphery is very long, so the performance of impact resistance is lower than that of shell and tube heat exchanger.

3 temperature effect


The rapid change of temperature can also lead to seal failure. When the temperature changes rapidly, the linear expansion coefficient, elastic deformation and sealing preload of rubber gasket will not match, which will reduce the sealing preload force, which leads to a much lower pressure bearing capacity of the device than the rated design pressure.
