Structural characteristics of plate heat exchanger gasket

According to the flow form of heat exchange medium, plate heat exchanger plate can be divided into unilateral flow and diagonal flow. Correspondingly, plate heat exchanger gasket can be divided into unilateral flow and diagonal flow according to the flow form of heat exchange medium.

Single side flow refers to the heat exchange medium flowing in from the right corner hole of the heat exchange plate and flowing out from the right corner hole. Similarly, the heat exchange medium flowing in from the left corner hole flows out from the left corner hole. Diagonal flow means that the heat exchange fluid flows in from the right corner hole and flows out from the left corner hole, or the fluid flowing in from the left corner hole flows out from the right corner hole. In terms of heat transfer efficiency, diagonal flow is better than single side flow, but the cost of single side flow is relatively low, so when the heat transfer efficiency can be met, single side flow is generally used.

The sealing gasket of plate heat exchanger can be divided into three types according to the installation method on the heat exchange plate

(1) Direct paste type is to apply sealant on the sealing gasket and stick it directly in the installation groove of heat exchange plate.

(2) The rubber nail inlay type is that the assembly hole is designed on the heat exchange plate, and the rubber nail is designed on the edge of the sealing gasket. After the sealing gasket is put into the installation groove, the rubber nail is inlaid in the assembly hole.

(3) Button type is to design a button on the edge of the sealing gasket, and use the button to button the sealing gasket on the heat exchange plate.

For the above three ways, the structure of adhesive sealing gasket is simple, and the processing is easy, but the installation and disassembly are relatively troublesome. The structure of inlaid gasket and buckle gasket is complex and the processing is troublesome, but the installation and disassembly are relatively easy. The sealing gasket of plate heat exchanger can be divided into symmetrical shape and asymmetrical shape according to the profile shape of the product. Symmetrical shape is generally applied to the plate with diagonal flow. The upper and lower sealing surfaces are plane, symmetrical along the water plane, and can be installed in both directions. The asymmetric ground is plane, and the upper sealing surface can be plane, curved surface, inclined plane, etc.
